The Uppingham AssociationThe Uppingham Association was founded in 1911 to maintain the link between OUs and the School. The majority of boys and girls become members when they leave and a database of their names, addresses, school and career details is maintained at the School by the OU Administrator. In addition to a range of OU events that are organised each year for members, a magazine is published annually, which contains news about OUs and activities at the School, and all members are encouraged to make full use of the new OU Website (http://www.olduppinghamian.co.uk), more details below.
On joining the OU Association, members will be provided with secure log-in details so that they may access the website (http://www.olduppinghamian.co.uk) and use its various applications, such as: - finding OU contacts who may be able to offer mentoring or work experience The website, launched with the financial support of an OU, is part of a wider strategy which aims to make Uppingham a ‘School for Life’. When parents invest in an Uppingham education for their child, we want to have the tools in place for Uppingham to help that child long after they have left School, through business and social networking opportunities. The website is still in its infancy and we would welcome comments from OUs and parents to help maximise its potential. Contact Details
