School House (13+ boys)

School House enjoys a unique position at the heart of the school, overlooking the Middle Playing Fields to the south, and greeting visitors as they enter the main school quadrangle.

School House has the largest footprint of any boarding house, with an unusual subterranean leisure area combining a a café kitchen for the boys’ use, pool table room, and two seating areas, with a variety of screens/projectors and games, such as table tennis, table football and bar billiards.

Despite its central location, School House has a lot of outdoor space. As well as a hard football pitch and large south-facing garden, the boys enjoy privileged use of the headmaster’s lawn for summer games, and the run of the main school quad in the evenings.

In their first two years at school, the boys sleep in year-group dormitories, with access to individual studies. For their final GCSE and Sixth Form years, they live in single bedsits.
