Pupils in Years 7 and 8 at Uppingham follow their own timetable from Monday to Friday.

Morning Registration

Pupils arrive in the Lower School House to register, catch up with friends and prepare for morning lessons.

A continental breakfast is available in the house, offering a perfect start to the day.

Morning Lessons

Morning lessons begin after registration. Lessons are taught within Uppingham's existing academic departments.

The curriculum is comprised of engaging, thought-provoking and challenging academic lessons that pupils genuinely enjoy.

Break

At break, pupils return to their house and enjoy a healthy snack, with further lessons followed by lunch.

The Lower School House has plenty of space for pupils to play outside, have fun and relax, as well as having ample time at break to change over any kit or equipment.

Lunch

Lower School pupils come together for lunch, joined by the Head of Lower School House and other teaching staff.

Our house lunches are an integral part of our pastoral care, with pupils having a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends and speak to their teachers.

Afternoons

In the afternoons, there is a varied programme that includes reading and library time, Outdoor Education, Games and additional academic lessons.

Pupils have the opportunity to get involved in a number of activities, as well as having access to Prep Club in the House.

Tutorials

Pupils meet with the Head of Lower School House for a tutorial programme focusing on Wellbeing and PSHE, including opportunities for workshops led by different staff.

Prep

At the end of lessons, pupils return to their House, where drinks and healthy snacks are available ahead of a supervised prep session, before their school day finishes at 18.00.
