Brilliant GCSE Results

Congratulations to our GCSE pupils for the brilliant results that they have received today.

Achieving results consistent with the excellence demonstrated in the last three years, we are immensely proud of all that they have accomplished as they move on to the next phase of their educational journey.

More than a quarter of all grades awarded were 9s, and nearly half of all grades were 9-8.

Today’s results represented an all-round strength in the core subjects, including the sciences, mathematics, humanities and creative arts, with Uppingham’s rich curriculum encouraging pupils to expand their academic interests at this formative age.

The Headmaster of Uppingham School, Dr Richard Maloney, says: “We are incredibly proud of this year’s GCSE cohort and all that they have accomplished. Their results are a reflection of their hard work, commitment and determination, demonstrating the School’s values wholeheartedly.

“We look forward to welcoming them back to Uppingham in September and to seeing them flourish in the Sixth Form. They bring with them a wealth of talent, energy and ambition, and we cannot wait to see all that they will achieve in this exciting next step.”
