Excellent A Level Results

Congratulations to our 2025 leavers for their achievements in this year’s A level examinations.

We are delighted to see that Uppingham’s A level cohort have delivered excellent results consistent with those of the previous two years.

52% of the results have been graded A*A, with 20% graded A*. Additionally, 84% were graded A*B and 97% A*C.

The Headmaster of Uppingham School, Dr Richard Maloney, says: “At the end of a challenging year for the independent education sector, it is heartening to be reminded of what really matters. The performance by our Upper Sixth pupils at A level is simply superb. This year group have been an inspiration across every facet of Uppingham life, and lived our holistic philosophy as fully as is possible.”

“At the same time, they found the intellectual energy and desire to produce A level results that sit amongst the very best in the country. A fabulous achievement which reminds us that academic excellence does not come at the expense of creativity, community spirit, and the sheer enjoyment of what our school has to offer.”

Alongside the results they have received today, our pupils are also celebrating the confirmation of their places at many of world’s leading universities. These include Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge, as well as Edinburgh, Durham, St. Andrews, University College London, London School of Economics, Exeter and King’s College London.

They are going on to study a broad range of courses, including Mathematics, Economics, Chemical Engineering, Law, Architecture and Fine Art.
